Confused about files can you help?

Post by Toddah »

Hi,
I just donated to help the cause and I am looking to setup the RT version for use on my truck. Here are my ECU specs
1994 S10 ZR2 "W" CPI engine
4 Speed Auto Trans 4X4
The ECU has this number on one barcode tag and a second barcode tag with a number below that one

1ST tag shows this
SERV NO 16196395 BHRH

2ND tag shows this
16195915 BHRH

I take it the first tag is the ECU number and the second tag is the EPROM
So am I looking for the EPROM number or the ECU number to figure out what files I need to talk to my truck?

When I do a BCC lookup on the BHRH I find another Eprom number 16195891 listed for the 16196395 ECU BHRH. Am I seeing a upgraded eprom version or recall eprom on my ECU tag.

16196395 is the PCM number and usually $OE is the mask.

BHRH in CalData does show to be superceeded by another chip. But have to look inside your PCM to see? It may have been replaced. It was superceeded to BPLC which is a 16197427 PCM but a lot of those are interchangable in those PCMs 16197427 usually runs $OD
