NOOB No data from '95 Corvette Auto

TP RT V5 WinXP Pro SP3. I have the EE_auto.adx and EE.XDF installed. I must be missing something simple. I cannot get any PCM data into TunerPro RT. I have the serial cable connected to the DLC and the car is running. The cable passes the test in the" test for valid interface function". It is a serial cable I bought some years ago from AKM. It functions in TunerCats and Datamaster, I checked it today. I followed the intuitive tutorial .......

I never get the DA:Connected. It never finds what it's looking for. I also have no selection when I click on the data view lists. It is "default view".
When I click on the acquire data tab, it states the DA is connecting and does not connect. I just want to get it to scan at this point and move on from there.

Well I am having the same issue with my new ride! 1994 Buick Roadmaster LT1.

Using the newest TunerPro, EE.XDF and EE_Auto.ADX hooked up to car through AutoProm.

I get data but it's not right?

Hooked up the Scan Tool and set to 1994 Buick Raodmaster LT1 and no error codes and all data is correct.
