Tip: Calculated Value Control

Post by JP86SS »

I found a way to correct for calculated values that sometimes display 1.#J or other incorrect displayed values due to null or out of range numbers.
These types of displayed values will skew your Histogram graphs from being readable due to one sample being way out of rrange of the other values.

a.) create a lookup table in the ADX definition
b.) enter 0.00 = 0.00 as the first point in the table
(Make this what ever the minimum value you ever want displayed)
c.) enter 50.0 = 50.0 as the 2nd point in the table.
(Make this what ever the maxmum value you ever want displayed)
SAVE

d.) Edit the definition again
e.) Select the "Value" item from the list.
f.) In the Conversion tab, check the "Send output to lookup Table"
g.) Select the table you just made from the list.
SAVE

Now the values displayed for that item will always be within the defined range.
Create lookup tables and change them as needed for each calculated value you need to control the output of.
Enjoy, :D
