Newbie nees some direction

Post by dwatep »

I am new to Tuner Pro and have some questions. Where do I find the definitions of the terms used in TurnerPRo such as Option Word 14 B 7 Nalpa in the Flags and switches.

It would really help if I could find out what all of these terms meant.

I have mild 350 with a 8746 ECM that I need to disable several components, i.e. EGR,VSS, Neutral Safety switch etc.

Where do I find this info.

Thanks for all of your help. From what I can understand this is quite a program.

The help file won't give you many vehicle-specific definitions. There are a set of terms that are pretty common in general, and there are terms that are specific to a make or even model of vehicle. The best thing to do is to go hang out in the tuning forums on the Net for your respective vehicle. If you're an OBDI GM guy, then read and re-read the info at www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/diy-prom/. The stickies at the top have lots of info.
