I was thinking about this the other day, that when wanting to start a datalog, you will have to reach over and click on the proper icon, which can be difficult at times to do, especially with a smaller screen.
Is it possible to have an external trigger, say through the serial or parrallel port to trigger TP RT to start and stop datalogging?
What would be nicer is to have this trigger through the ALDL cable, where an un-used input on the ECM triggers this.
Idea for trigger v.isitpossible?

I'm thinking of adding triggers in a future version, where you can specify what value in the ALDL stream should trigger a log start and stop, e.g. MPH is >X then start, <X then stop.
You could therefore use an unused A/D input in the ECM to trigger this.

Sweet, I take it you would need to add code to the bin file or adl?Mangus wrote:I'm thinking of adding triggers in a future version, where you can specify what value in the ALDL stream should trigger a log start and stop, e.g. MPH is >X then start, <X then stop.
