Hi there i new to the hole tunning aspect..i have a 89 chevy 2500 pick up truck with a 305 in it, i got it for a steal but of course there is a few bugs i need to work out. i would like to know how by using tuner pro i can figure out how the motor is running..Now i have download the free virsion for now, just to see how it works. I have a ALDL cable with 10 k resistor attch to it.. it works by flicking the switch up or down..cand some one guide me thru a few steps..tuner pro is on my laptop and my ASDL cable is USB so i can tune as i chat online,if that makes it any easer..Thanks so much.. :D

Well, to start, your truck probably uses the $42 mask. The "mask" is the equivilent of the "operating system" of the ECM.

By downloading the correct definitions, you can use TunerPro to both datalog and tune.
