1986 Corvette Bin Files

Post by Joe »

Using Moates APU1, I read two 1986 Corvette chips with Tunerpro software and they worked great :D

I noticed that the BIN file is 32k, should'nt they be 16k, any reason for that :?:

Also the hypertech chip does not make any sense with $32 definition, is this a custom bin :?:

Cheers

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. An 86 Vette should be a $32 bin, which is a 16k bin file. I was working on one today, and the OE chip in it was an AANM1736, which is a 16k bin file. It should have been a 27c128 chip which is 16k x 8 bit wide. I'm guessing you were reading them as perhaps a 27c256, which is more common. You would have then ended up with a 32k bin file. Only half of it would have been the actual program, and data. I am using a Moates adapter board, which has a 27sf512 in it. So I have to make the file 64kx8bits to get the file ready to burn properly. Using the stacking tool, which comes with TunerPro. It works very nicely.
