GMH 2004 VY Series 2 Commodore Wagon v6 4L60E N00B Help pse

Post by vk4akp »

Hi,

Totally new to this and looking for some help please.

I have a 2004 VY Series 2 Commodore Wagon.
v6 3800 Ecotec (Buick)
4L60E transmission
It's an ex QAS Fast response vehicle so has police spec options.
Has had LPG fitted but was removed before purchase.

So far I've managed to download the ECU bin file, identify it as $060B VY for the .XDF file.

I've installed TunerPro but it comes up with no hardware detected all the time.

Interface is 1320 Electronics Bluetooth + USB (I've connected via USB).
Laptop is Lenovo E530 i3 - Win10 - 4GB Ram.

I initially just want to check the basics.

Car has had rough idle from day one since purchase. I suspect O2 sensor etc.

I did get ALDLdroid to work but it didn't make much sense to me.

Any help appreciated.

OK. I've finally had some luck.

It was the .ADX file. I didn't have it loaded.

Seems to take a lot of tries though before I finally get a stable connection. Usually the gauges just flick around erratically.

And even stranger I find I have to try with the wrong XDF file first, then reload the correct one and then connect. At this point the dash shows a check engine symbol and the data is finally flowing correctly showing idle speed static etc.

O2 Sensors seem to be all over the place. But I have no idea what looks normal as this is all new to me. Any chance of someone having a look at the Log for me please?

The car has had the LPG removed just before sale and I do wonder if it was converted back to petrol only correctly. It has had a rough idle and poor fuel consumption from day one when I purchased it.
