I've seen it before but I can't do it. I just want to save my 3D graph as a picture (jpg,bmp,gif...whatever format) I've seen people post 3d graphs of their work.....how do I do it?

With the image you want on the screen, press the 'Print Screen' key, open up Microsoft Paint and then select paste. You'll now have a entire screen shot that you can trim down etc to what you want.

Alt + printscreen will capture only the active window. =)

That's easier
