Help getting an ECU or XDF for '86 L98 Vette

Post by ramiles »

Tried downloading the $32 32.ecu file from the TunerPro download site and got the following error message "Error opening XDF ! Invalid XDF File" - I tried loading a $6 xdf file and it worked OK. Wonder what I am missing. BTW I am not hooked up to any hardware yet - waiting on delivery of my Moates AutoProm. Thanks for any assistance.

Think I may have found the file

Tried a 32.xdf from the Moates site at http://www.moates.net/fileman/index.php?dir=3)%20Binary%20Editor%20Definitions/1)%20TunerPro%20XDF%20Files/1%29%20General%20Motors

It entered OK. Am using the 1227165_160.ADS file.

Sound right for an '86?

Thanks for any suggestions or feedback. Can't wait for my AutoProm and toi get connected

sounds right, yep

may be you can even use that file for datalogging: http://www.lnoperformance.de/files/ads/ ... 8_8192.ads

contains more values than the 160 baud stream and is much faster; but i'm not sure if the 86 MEMCALs will support it

You need to use the File->Import->ECU option for loading ECU files.

Please post back. I'd be very interested to see if you can connect using the 8192 ads on your '86.
