.Bin 403 dme

Post by FXX »

As I was making my way through the several maps in the definition file I found on this site, comparing similar m50b25nv ecu's (403, 405) it left me wondering what these files are. Are they stock .Bins, or slightly improved files? And are the Bins for 403 and 405 interchangeable?

Def. files I have used:
BMW_ecu403_soft950.xdf, BMW_dme405_soft951.xdf (basically the same maps)

Bins I have compared:
403_3NV_950, 403NV, 405_1740352_1267357951

My journey to a slightly upgraded eeprom has just started, and there's still a lot to learn. For now, budget is limited. In the future, I'd like to implement a .bin switch, but first things first.

Hope to see some useable input from other BMW enthusiasts
