Newbie question (xml to xdf conversion) and Welcome

Post by tszwarc »

Hi,
I'd like to say hallo to all. I'm new here so please don't kick me for asking questions ;)

I'm based in Cologne, Germany.
Own an Suzi SV1000 which I'm willing to use as work-mule for my test and learn on my Suzi how to work with ECU programming.

I can support with wire harness engineering knowledge (it's my day job) and mechanical engineering.

Now for the question:
I know that TunerPro requires xdf files with map definitions but in most forums only xml files are uploaded.
I understand that the xdf file is actually an typical xml file and therefore I tried to simply use my .xml file and save it with new .xdf extension - well this does not work as I hoped.
What is the correct way to make TunerPro read .xml files?

Cheers

You need to know where items are in the bin file and several other parameters in order to create an xdf file.

Maybe I used the wrong wording.
I have a .bin and .xml file for my ECU.
Once I load both of them to RomRider I'm able to see the maps and others.
The .xml file is the one that contains the map definitions.

I understand that TunerPro uses .xdf files.

Sorry, I was thinking xdl files.

There is no import function for your xml file to xdf. If you had an ecu file that could be imported.

You will have to find out where the parameters are in the bin and build an xdf file from that.

The XML file you have, if you open it in a text editor, will probably show you the information that you need to manually create your XDF file. It will be a manual process, but it'll get you to where you need to be.
