I ordered a CarSoft adapter and software from Hong Kong about a month ago, still hasn't arrived.
If I use the above adapter what software are you using?

Just did a few experiments regarding the companion tables in my 404DME. I must have done something screwy when I received error message earlier. In my test: Copy the data from tables in the 1st section and paste into 2nd section: Vehicle would fire up and run but was super pig rich and wouldn't resp...

Looking at the 413 Red, there are two differences in stomp codes between the two tables and two differences in DTC enable. In tuner pro if you make two 56x2 tables viewing hex, one starting at address 4484 and the other starting at address D19A. Open both tables side by side you can see all the flas...

I'm trying to convert my M3.3 404DME (64k) V8 from MAF to Speed Density. Theoretically by using the mod talked about in this thread I can use the MAF in hooked up to a MAP sensor and allow it to reference a RPM vs MAP table, populated with similar fueling values used in the MAF table. The table to r...

Today I was able to get my hands on the rare and elusive E34 540i/6 404DME original chip. You have no idea how hard it was to find one of these as a 404DME. Here's a quick 484 .xdf with the maps identified by pulling apart the hex code. The axis are unlabelled since that is the most time consuming part of the process. Checksum correction is in this xdf. If someone can find it useful and build upon it, that would be cool. If and when I find out how to di...

Here's a 12/1995 E38 740il, 484DME chip numbers, 1 744 605, 1 265 358 772. This is an EWS file. It will not work with the existing XDF, I believe this this to be a DME for the non-vanos M62B44. I'll spend some time with it in order to make an XDF. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3ENo4LvAtklcnRYbmh...

Here is another E34 540i Auto 404DME that came in. Production 6/1994. Chip # 1 744 050, 1 267 358 720.
It is slightly different then the previously posted E34 540i and E32 740i tunes.

Also, here is the XDF I've made for the 404. It's far from complete, but I made it by pulling apart the hexcode and using the readily known axis identifiers. It also has automatic checksum correction, just remember to save your bin before loading it to your emulator or burning a chip for the checksu...

BMW 404 & 484 M60B40 E34, E32 & E38 tunes
Hey guys, I just recently picked up a Burn 2 and was able to read a couple OE chips. One from an E34 540i Auto, the other an E32 740i Auto. Both with chip numbers 1 267 358 720, 1 744 050. They are subtly different from each other and drastically different then the 357689 404 tune on the TunerPro si...

If my Motronic M3.3 cranks, fires up and runs without a checksum adjustment do I need to worry about it? Or is it still a good idea to have the checksum match every change made in the tune?

The available M60 xdf is pretty rough. It's a starting point for sure and should be taken with a the best educated guess judgment. I've been tuning my 540i on a 404dme for a while and I noticed with my MAF table while cell hit tracing that there doesn't seem to be any load dependency thus no need fo...

Making an XDF, anyone recognize tables I've missed
Hey guys, I've been slowly piecing together an XDF for my E34 M60B40 404dme. The XDF was created by ecuconnections XDFcreator using the 413 values, as the 404 values are unknown and the 413 settings yielded results. So, obviously it's not perfect. I've spent months (off & on) deciphering the tab...

I just wanted to revive this one from the dead. I've been blindly experimenting with my tuner pro XDF's, as I'm still learning. I've spent a couple days focusing on the MAF table. Hey guys, I'm in desperate need of a definition/xdf for a mod tune that was created in WinOLS to use in TunerPro. I have downloaded WinOLS free and started playing around. Looking for help/input. E34 540i, Miller WAR chip and MAFT
Hey folks, I'm currently putting together a little project on my E34 540i 6spd. I have been running a flashable Miller W.A.R. chip in a 404 DME for quite a while now. It's fun to tweak with, I've got my AFR's 'Okay', but not perfect. (watching them with an Innovate MTX-L). I've also learned the M60B...
