Maybe I am stupid
What am I missing? I am trying to use TunerPro RT 4.0 on my WinXP SP2 Dell machine. I can read a 29C256 chip into the buffer and save it to a BIN file. I can pull it up just fine under the XDF file. The display shows the right graphs and all, but the tables and constants all show values of zero. Am ...

Little bug with emulator
Mark, the emulator part of TunerPro RT works great as posted earlier on TGO. It REALLY helped me get the timing for my low and mid range stuff worked out. I found a pesky little bug that you may want to address. I said I dumped the EMU RAM to a file. Well, It allowed me to save the file to a particu...

Zeroes in BIN after burn to 29C256
I have noticed that I can sometimes read the chip that I know I just programmed and ran in the Jeep and it will read random zeroed and other strange numbers throughout the tables, most notably the Main Spark Table...and it makes me screw up a perfectly good BIN if I don't catch it.
Any ideas?

Mangus, Well it worked after I played with the port settings in Win 98. WinALDL worked fine, but I keep getting nothing but packet errors from the TunerPro RT ALDL module. I had to find the right combination of port settings for it to work with WinALDL. I got a couple of pretty good datalogs off it....

Well, I am in the process of swapping over to the Win 98SE OS right now, but my laptop isn't cooperating. I had to kinda fool the setup program by opening it up in a pseudo DOS mode and actually formatting the HDD. It wouldn't let me install Win 98SE over Win ME. It found one bad cluster on the HDD ...

That is exactly what I thought. I am almost certain that the Win ME OS is crashing. I have a little time to fool with it tonight. I may go ahead and wipe the HDD and put Win 98SE on the thing. I am sure it will work better. Refresh my memory. I need that riched32.dll file for TunerPro RT to work pro...

Mark, I am starting to believe that the issue is related to my Windows ME OS. It is so random that I have just started burning the chips with my XP machine and doing datalogging with my Win ME laptop until I can get Win 98SE loaded onto it. Everything works just fine under XP with regards to the USB...

Would it be possible to give TunerPro the ability to correct the VE tables for the user? It seems like there would be a way to have TunerPro log BLM and INT then use that to tweak the VE1 table.
Just a thought.

New PITA
I did a good bit of datalogging that gave me a good BLM table and a good INT table. I made an Excel spreadsheet that recalculates my values for my VE table. I went into TunerPro and entered the values by hand and saved the changes. Then, I burned the chip and verified it with the buffer. I put it in...

Thanks, Mark. I did run into it once while emulating, but not again since. I do have a little trouble with simultaneous logging and emulation, though. It gets mad at me and gives me a Port In Use error (probably related to Windows Me). I can't use WinALDL and TunerPro Rt to emulate. Craig and I have...

Buffer verification with AT29C256 and AutoProm USB
Little bug here...following chip burning procedures to the letter. Load file to buffer and program chip. Loading a 4K bin and programming to addresses $7000-$7FFF, no offset. Try to verify chip with buffer in TunerPro V3.06...first verification always fails...second usually works. The failure manife...

Riched20.dll for Win98
I may have done something wrong. It worked once, but now it won't work.
When I put the Riched20.dll in the Windows directory, TunerPro works...but don't I have to install it into the registry somehow? Isn't it something like regsvr from the RUN in the Start menu?

WinXP, AutoPROM V1.08, module AutoPROM I/O This gets me every time... I load a BIN into the buffer and click the Program Chip button. Error: (Something like Device memory exceeded...) I figured it out. The I/O module defaults to a chip end address of $EFFF. I start progremming a chip at $7000...

Building ALDL def file
Okay, I got the newest version of TunerPro RT (THANKS MARK!!!) and I started playing with the ALDL Definition editor. In short, where do I start? I know that sounds kinda broad, but I looked at and I really don't know where to start. I have the A090 text file, but I don't have the command values and...

I am using the $61 code mask. I started with the ANLU bin. The Jeep actually started yesterday...and ran pretty well even with the smoke and all at idle. Once I get the AP and figure out how to really use it, I'll get the idle smoke cleared up pretty quickly. I remember someone saying that the ANLU ...

8746 ECU differences
I hadn't seen this board before, Mangus. Cool! I was playing around with TunerPro earlier and I noticed that different ECUs will show different values for the same address. For instance...I went into my ANLU bin using the 8746jprevost ECU and disabled EGR by setting the EGR Temp ON to zero (-40F). I...
