I've got the same byte in my 404dme V8, it is set to 08H just like the 413. I decided to see how it would respond changing that byte to 18H despite not having vanos.

The vehicle didn't respond any differently and still pulled ignition from appropriate tables.

When you say D00C - BIT4 do you mean @ address D00F there is a byte with 00?

In the 413.bin I'm looking at D00C is value 08, but at D00F there's a 00.....on the 4th byte away counting D00C as the first.

It's been brought to my attention that the M3.x.x can indeed live data from diag port. You need an old Windows xp computer with an rs232 serial port. And you need the Tiny ADS interface. I've isolated the table in my 404 as well, it's directly followed by a mysterious D2 axis identifier. This could shed some light on that axis identifier.

I won't be able to road test this table on my vehicle for a little while as mine isn't running at the moment.

When I deleted the IAC my idle control tables were no longer being used by the DME. Instead I wired two LED's on the IAC wiring, shared +12v and the two controlled grounds from DME. Thank you very much. I'm prepping my car for a race event in Tucson Az in a month, I'm mounting an MSD DIS-4 and two waste spark ign coils.

I've considered jumping the triggers of the ignition coil drivers internal in the DME to pair up the cylinders and only using cyl 1-4 ignition out for the MSD.

Hey guys, can any confirm or deny if the Motronic M3.3 goes into waste spark when cam sensor is disconnected?

I've just set the Load Clamp table and the Latency table to 255 in my 404, throttle response has improved. Which adds to the fun factor of the drive :-)

It seems my idle is smoother too

I am so very thankful for these discoveries. About to go experiment with my 404, hopefully clean up a few transitional quirks.

If I may make a suggestion as to what to experiment with next; how about timers? Start up timers, etc.

What is the TPS function actually used for? When I tried it it was not actually traced? Is it reserved for the limp map? One would think it's because it's the only means of Load the computer has because there is no MAP sensor. I can tell you in factory tuning, the automatic and manual transmissions...

I believe one to be IAC idle, PT, WOT...the other is IAC fuel cut/decel. I have them in my 404 as well and can watch them switch in and out while cell hit tracing when it goes into fuel cut off /decel.
