How exactly does the datalogging and tuning process look for these Honda ECUs? The XDF gets you the schema needed to flash a new tune, but what is the physical interface to the ECU (K-Line to USB via some FTDI chip?) and what about the ADX that would be needed to log data?

The VAG-KKL interface adapts the K-Line to an RS232 interface, so yes, you should be able to write a new plugin to decode that and an ADX to issue the commands needed to query the appropriate variables.

It's pretty straightfoward, you would need to update the transfer function and other settings within the ECM to match those settings from the 1125 bike. You can wire it up identically to the 1125 schematic as well.

What is the physical interface to the ECM? Has anyone developed an interface cable? What about an ADX definition for datalogging?

I think the Harley ECMs are a Delphi product, if I recall correctly. Totally different from the Buell. Buell had an independent contractor design the ECM and there's been very strong support from the tuning community mainly originating from Europe and the US.
