Problems writing bin file

I have a 29F040B chip from Moates that I am trying to burn a 512k image to. I have stacked 16 32k images on it, to fill it up. I am using the default ranges for chip size and buffer size. Every time I try to write the bin with tunerpro I get an error at about 4000ish during the write and it returns ...

Navigating 3D tables

I have always liked the feature of the "realtime" 2D map changes, but I've always wished that I could navigate around the 3D maps by keyboard and make real-time changes without having to click each point, and possibly select groups. I have been doing it by watching the table with "alw...

For instance, GM OBDI computers have a cylinder select to choose between 4 cyl, 6 cyl, 8 cyl, etc. The values are $80, $C0, and $00 respectively. Instead of relying on the user to enter the right (rather arbitrary) value of 80, C0, or 00, why not have a lookup table (AKA an "enumeration")...

for variable interpretation. Example, I want to edit a single byte 0-255 on it's proper scaling for a limitation for something, say a temperature to turn a fan on or off. The coolant temp sensor has a S curve rather than linear scaling. So to properly scale the calculated value of this bin location,...

Lookup tables for calculations

I am loving the lookup table feature in ScannerPro, since I have some sensors that are non-linear. However when trying to set up parameters on Tunerpro it's a bitch because I can only do linear calcs in TunerPro. I would like to be able to use a lookup table for value interpretation in Tunerpro as w...

anyone ever have problems with their ostrich?

I was tuning a car this weekend and ran into a strange situation. When I first got my ostrich a year ago, I had a lot of trouble getting ot to communicate clearly with the laptop, it kept ending up transmitting corrupt data. I played with everything imaginable and it seemed to fix itself. Now, last ...

any more progress?

Just wondering if there's been any more progress made on tunerpro, if we can expect to see a newer beta any time soon?

Yes, the work I'm doing on ScannerPro will be integrated into TunerPro. ScannerPro should work with DSM/Honda/Nissan/OBDI, etc. I don't currently have anyone lined up to test DSM, however. I would be willing to do DSM testing, however I don't know much about he actual communications at the physical...

Is that included in this program you're working on now? Yes, the work I'm doing on ScannerPro will be integrated into TunerPro. ScannerPro should w...

Don't know why it doesn't work. I read my existing chip using a pocket programmer and then saved the .bin file. After that I loaded it into TunerPro. well that's one thing i'm actually not sure of. I do a lot of DSM chip stuff and a guy I did a tune for asked me if i could do his grand nationals th...

running windows 2000 pro. I have uninstalled and re-installed the drivers several times and set up the com ports exactly as the read-me says.

I certainly hope it's not a bad ostrich. I've had such bad luck in the last year with being sent dead on arrival parts.

could it be possible to add more graph interaction ability? like the ability to navigate through the graph points with the arrow keys? could make things go much faster than clicking each point with the mouse. also the ability to adjust groups of points together on the graph, like what can be done in...

If you have the ability to change code you could reassign the address that is being output to the datastream. Just locate an item you don't need to see and load a word from a memory location of your choice to that position. I don't know much about the foreign stuff to know if it is possible yet. th...

DSM logging is what I was looking to hear :D I had been struggling attempting to use tunerpro to log my DSM, not knowing until further research, why it wouldn't work. Right now the DSM community really lacks a complete laptop logging solution. With as much ECU hacking as we are doing these days, the...

Memory location logging?

I'm surprised nobody has suggested this yet. So far, I am in love my ostrich, one of the best things i did for the car it's in. One thing my car really needs though, is a good datalogger for the laptop. Using a palm logger is kindof annoying when making changes on a laptop, I'd much rather do both o...
