that was what i thought

look how it shows this value in the monitors: http://www.lnoperformance.de/files/tp.jpg

the value itself seems to be correct, shows the position the throttle actually has

i don't like the freescan dash

but particularly for the monitors there could be some more - i take a datalog in the car, but do my evaluation at the big screen at the desk

how to define range for a value (A222.DS)

take a look at byte 27 in A222.DS - this value has to be devided; how do i have to set the range correctly that it shows the 0-100 %?

same question for byte 10 after the simplification to match the fields in TunerPro?

hmmm, i see

i think the first step is to make tunerpro able to run completely independent from user inputs - if that is done, it can be used as a on screen dash just by putting it in the autostart folder

the software interface to other programs will be another matter

sounds right, yep

may be you can even use that file for datalogging: http://www.lnoperformance.de/files/ads/ ... 8_8192.ads

contains more values than the 160 baud stream and is much faster; but i'm not sure if the 86 MEMCALs will support it

hmmm, may be a TCP/IP network connection over localhost?

a buddy of mine is using this for all his self-made programms to communicate to each other, he says it's no big deal to handle this, so may be it's a easy and simple way for us to use it for our matter here?

ok, great, if you want to have a look to the stream, its files A134.DS

in case of the B-Bodies, there is no other master module on the ALDL (like described in the stream file)

ads File question (writing ABS stream)

i'm just trying to write a ads file for the 90-92 B-Body ABS systems (Bosch) it's a common ALDL 8192 stream, but the stream length depends on the number of fault codes stored. 15 bytes without any code 20 bytes with one code 25 bytes with two codes 30 bytes with three codes in the response message o...

run TP in background and write ALDL stream into a file?

the story about this idea: i have a complete PC installed in my car (91 Caprice), beside using it for mp3s, videos and navigation, i wrote a little prog to read the ALDL stream of the car (at that time it was only the ALDL 160 of the stock TBI), to display some data on a little dash LCD. the PC 7&qu...

TunerPro & Volkswagen?

at your TunerPro Website you write something about people who try to get TunerPro running with Volkswagen

Since Volkswagen is a prevailing brand here in Europe, this sounds very interesting to me.

Are there any facts about that?

You should have the latency set to 1 (it defaults to 16), and have the buffers set to their max (4096 if I remember correctly).
with the Compaq Laptop i tried this now (it's the one where ALDL 160 doesn't work) - same effect, no incoming data

3 byte values in ads streams?

hey folks! i just tried to write a ads file for the 95 Northstar Eldorado, and found there a little problem: in the stream of that car are 3 byte long values used. as far as i know, i can only handle 2 byte (16 bit) values in TunerPro, right? and btw: have you thought about a better feature for &quo...
